UK Trailer Intro for John Carpenter’s The Ward

It’s been a while since anything relating to John Carpenter’s movie The Ward has been made available, but that all changes as today, thanks to the guys over at UHM they have stumbled upon a UK trailer intro for The Ward. I’m not to sure what “trailer intro” is, does that mean a teaser? or an actual intro for something? Who cares! We finally have some footage for Carpenter’s movie so check it out below and see what you guys think?

The Ward will hit the UK>The Ward was September 24, 2010, but unfortunately it has been pushed back to an unconfirmed 2011 release, so good news if you live in the UK not so good for the US. Hopefully the US will get a confirmed release very soon.

The Ward is directed by John Carpenter and written by Michael Rasmussen and Shawn Rasmussen, the film stars Amber Heard, Lyndsy Fonseca, Danielle Panabaker, Jared Harris, Mika Boorem, Mamie Gummer and Sydney Sweeney.

Synopsis: “In John Carpenter’s The Ward, Kristen, a beautiful but troubled young woman, finds herself bruised, cut, drugged, and held against her will in a remote ward of a Psychiatric Hospital.

She is completely disoriented, with no idea why she was brought to this place and no memory of her life before being admitted. All she knows is that she isn’t safe. The other patients in the ward, four equally disturbed young women, offer no answers, and Kristen quickly realises things are not as they seem.

The air is heavy with secrets, and at night, when the hospital is dark and foreboding, she hears strange and frightening sounds. It appears they are not alone. width=”640″>

Who Will Star in Stephen King’s Dark Tower?

Stephen King’s Dark Tower has Hollywood talking and I’m sure some agents are chomping at the bit to get their client a role in Ron Howard’s adaptation of King’s Dark Tower series. Who could possibly land the role of the lead character Roland Deschain?

Well according to the NYPost, Javier Bardern is a big possibility with Viggo Mortensen following close behind, other names being thrown around for the role include, Daniel Craig, Jon Hamm and Hugh Jackman. 

Do you guys think any of the above mentioned names would be a good candidate for the lead character Roland Deschain? Or do you think someone else would be better cast, what do you guys think?

Universal recently set a May 17, 2013 release date for the first feature, but that could change.
